The Highlights

Hooray for Friday!!  Hope you've had a nice week.  Everyone at my house has a cold right now thanks to my toddler who likes to share :).  We are all sniffly, have been spending a lot of time at home and are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We are starting to feel better and really looking forward to the weekend.  I'm going to a fun Christmas event with my neighbor, watching some football and hopefully enjoying some nice Mississippi weather.

A little recap of our week:
1. I started using my new curling wand and am so impressed with it!  It's really easy to use and I've cut my hair curling time in half.  Win-win :)  Oh and I'm really loving my monogrammed vest!!  It's already been worn several times.  I blogged all about my new hair routine here.

2. My husband is a brownie-aholic so I jazzed up his usual favorite box mix with mini m&ms!  I sorted through to get the fall colored ones and they were delicious.  We made brownie sundaes and shared some of them with our neighbor.

3. I know many people are already putting up Christmas trees and listening to Christmas music, but I am not.  I love Thanksgiving and am not skipping it  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have a November birthday and am in no hurry to rush this month.  I put away my Halloween decorations this week and have decorated for Thanksgiving.  My dad mentioned that there were all kinds of acorns, nuts and pine cones laying around their yard at their lake house.  I requested some and this fun box showed up at my door later in the week.  They will be perfect for my Thanksgiving table centerpiece along with the sticks I collected from my yard.

4.  My hubby had to leave his car in the shop overnight for some routine maintenance so we had to carpool for a few days.  We woke up and got ready extra early so that we could eat breakfast at IHOP together.  It was delicious and if you look closely you can see Santa sitting right over Kevin's shoulder.  The whole restaurant was keeping a close eye on him because he really did look like Santa.

5. It was Olive's 2nd Halloween and we had a great time.  She loved her strawberry costume, playing with the candy and really enjoyed herself this year.  We had a fun day and time with friends.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  3. I'm glad you're feeling better! I have Thanksgiving decorations as well - although I confess I'm itching to pull out the Christmas decor - I am still enjoying the reminder to be thankful! :)

  4. I curl my hair with a regular curling iron, but use it as more of a wand type thing. I'm really considering just taking the plunge and investing in a good wand. Which one do you have?
