Happy Friday!!

The best parts of my week were:

1. We watched Notre Dame beat USC this week.
Now we just have 40ish days until the National Title game in Miami.
Go Irish!

2. I feel like I'm getting into a good groove with my washi tape stash.
I've been sealing my etsy shop packages with it and
I just sealed all of my birthday thank yous with it.
Yay for washi tape!

3. Oliver and Topher will snuggle anytime, anywhere.

4. I'm in L.O.V.E with my new tortoise shell glasses.

5. We finally celebrated Thanksgiving at our house on Sunday.

What I Wore Wednesday

Well it's Wednesday,
so that means you get to see my outfits for the week.
I've been documenting them for over a year
and it's really helped me to wear a larger variety of items.
I don't repeat outfits as often and
I'm always looking for new combinations of clothes in my own closet.

I spent most of the week in my pj's because I was sick
but here are the outfits that I did put together:

1. Date Night with Friends
 top - GAP
polka-dotted shirt - thrifted
necklace - vintage
jeans - Target
leopard flats - Bandolino
tortoise watch - Liz Claiborne

 2. Double Polka-Dots
cardigan - Limited
mustard & Polka-dot scarf - GAP (NEW)
mustard belt - Banana Republic
dress - TJ Maxx
tights - Macys
Booties - DSW
I wondered if the double dose of polka-dots might be too much
but I loved them combo!

Brilliant Idea for Birthdays

I received a few birthday boxes
and one stood out because it was filled with mini balloons!!
My presents were gently tucked in amongst the balloons.

It was SO cheerful
and my cats are still going NUTS for the balloons!

I'm sure kids (of all ages) would love to get a box
stuffed with balloons on their birthday this year.

Mountainy Monday

Winter seems to be here to stay.

 Happy Monday to you!

Go Irish!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the entire Notre Dame team!!

Bros

My boys act like they are for real brothers.
They are a year apart and came from different mothers.
I think they bonded over their tabby status so don't try to tell them they aren't bros.
Brothers don't get their own chairs, brothers share chairs.
We are a pretty great kitty family.

Wedding Shower

I hosted a shower for a co-worker last week and wanted to share it with you.
Her colors were navy, yellow with a wintery theme.
So I bought navy & yellow paper products, table cloths
and used pine cones & snowflakes in my decorations.
I didn't have a big budget so all of my decor came from
Michaels, Dollar Tree & Target.

I made sugar cookies.

We went with an appetizer theme because it was right after school.
We had cheeseballs, taco dips, cookies, fruit & popcorn.

I made a peanut butter cheese ball that was delish!
 Fruit
 Drinks & peppermint popcorn

Regular cheeseball and spinach artichoke dip from Costco (amazing!!)

We did two activities and put them at each place setting.

I also found these cute little ornament place card holders at Micheals $1.50/2.
I used them to label the food items.

I put together a quiz and advice cards for the bride.
I didn't know the bride-to-be really well so this quiz was perfect.
She answer all of the answers and then read her answers to the group.

The ultimate compliment:
The bride-to-be asked to keep some decorations for her reception :)

High Five for Friday

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving filled week this week.
Here were the higlights from mine:

1. Notre Dame is #1 in the country right now.
We just have to take care of USC tomorrow
and then it's on to the national title game!
Go Irish!

2. I just got my December book club book
and am excited to read it

3. I'm hosting & attending my first Crazy Christmas Sweater Party
in a few weeks for the teachers at my school!
I borrowed an AMAZING sweater from my MIL for the party.

 4. I paid $1.97 for these Equate towelettes and I LOVE them!

5.I'm excited to wear some of my new birthday accessories ASAP!

Low of the week:
The stomach flu attacked my husband and I this week.
We postponed Thanksgiving until this weekend.
Luckily it didn't last too long but being sick is the worst.
