My Dogs are Barking

via nike

My husband and I always say that our dogs are barking when our feet hurt.  He only wears comfortable shoes and doesn't complain about foot pain that often.  I have a harder time finding comfy shoes and tend to wear shoes that are cute and not always so comfy.

We've been exercising more, going on walks in the evenings and trying to be more active.  So I'm hunting for a great pair of tennis shoes.  I currently have a pair of Nikes and a pair of New Balance.  The Nikes feel too small and the New Balance tend to give me blisters.  I think I paid less than $50 per pair and am really not that happy with either option.

I'd love to own a cute, comfy and not super expensive pair of tennys.
I'd like to be able to walk and run on comfy clouds of shoes.
Is that even possible??

What would you recommend - a certain brand? a certain type of shoe?
I'd love to hear some personal recommendations!
Please and thank you in advance for your help.

  1. The dogs are barking - haha! I'm gonna use that! I seem to always buy Nike - at Macy's when I can double up coupons and sales. I also got a good pair at Marshall's a few years ago. Good luck!

  2. They aren't always fashionable but I run in Saucony's. They are like clouds on my feet now that I am running. I only wear them when I run or go to gym- I have cute other tenny's to wear out and about.. Missed you this weekend!!

  3. I wear Brooks running shoes! They are not the cheapest option but it is WELL worth it to me to have shoes that take good care of my feet. And they stay in great condition!

  4. Dr. Scholl's is the best! Very cushy, with lots of support!

  5. I do not know if they have a store in Arkansas that watches you run/walk to help you pick out the correct shoes but those stores are great. I am not a runner but it helped a lot with comfort in the cardio I typically do (elliptical, classes). I have gotten shoes twice at Swift Athletics in Evansville and felt a HUGE difference. They may not be the cutest workout shoes at the gym, but they find the right style and brand for your feet.
