Baby Easter Basket

The most exciting thing about Spring for me was to put together Olive's 1st Easter basket!!  I usually fill Easter baskets with candy but didn't think that was very baby appropriate :)  I found lots of adorable items to fill her basket and NONE OF THEM ARE CANDY!!  It was so much fun shopping for the perfect Easter items for her and wanted to give you a heads up on some really fun things for your kids this year.  I shopped at Target, Marshalls and Wal-mart.

I searched high and low for the perfect Easter basket and fell in love with this one at Target.  It was $12 and came in pink, green and yellow.  I would normally go with green but the pink just spoke to me.  I used my cartwheel app to get a discount and only paid $10 for the basket.  It's sturdy, not too big and really well made.  Plus it came with an adorable liner.  Most basket/liner combos I found on-line were $30+ and you still had to pay shipping.  I opted to not put any Easter grass in the basket because I figured Olive would just try to eat it!

Target is selling these adorable letters to tie onto any Easter basket.  I randomly stumbled on the letter display on an end cap in the grocery section so you might have to hunt around for it.
I decided to do Olive's monogram and add a cute little bunny medallion.  The best part was that these little medallions were only $1.50 each!!  Jackpot!!
I attached them onto the basket with twine.
I found carrot bubble necklaces and girl bunny ears in the dollar bins at Target.  Olive's never seen bubbles so I thought she'd be entertained by them.  I also found a new sippy cup that has a straw that reaches all the way to the bottom of the cup!  I'm hoping it'll be good for some smoothies :)

I went to Marshalls the last time I was visiting Mississippi and they had SO MANY wonderful Easter books!!  I had a hard time deciding on which ones to buy.  Peter Cottontail is a classic, the Easter book is interactive with sliding panels and lots of pictures to name and I had never seen these cute Ollie books before.  I think Olive will have such a great time reading these with me.

I picked up some egg dye, yogurt bites and her favorite bananas.
Perfect treats for my pint sized lady.

I'm excited to have Olive's basket done and waiting in my closet for Easter morning!!
