Grand Teton National Park

There was still a fair amount of snow on the ground in Jackson when we were there in early May but we embraced the cooler temps, small crowds and enjoyed one of our favorite places.

 We saw tons of bison.
They seemed tired and skinny :)
Just hanging out right next to the road.

Some of the park was restricted due to snow and we weren't able to head up to Yellowstone because the road hadn't opened for the season yet.  So we made the most of our time in the Tetons.

We saw this pair of moose
who were also looking skinny and a bit frail.

 A field full of elk.

Blue skies and lots of snow.
This little lady caught a morning nap and missed some of the animals but woke up in time to get out and explore the snow and frozen Jenny Lake.

Things were thawing out for Spring.

Learning some facts at the Visitor's Center.

Despite the look on Olive's face,
we all had a wonderful day in the mountains.
