Devotional for Little Ones

I've been on the market for a toddler devotional for Olive for months.  I have looked at tons of options and deemed most of them to be best suited for older children.  We tried to read one that I was given as a gift and the stories were just too long for the toddler attention span.  I recently had the priveledge of reviewing a devotional called Words to Dream On and it was just precious!

Olive loves it!!
She enjoys the pictures, all the animals and different bible characters.  She flips through the whole book and points at something on every page. I give her a tiny summary of the Bible stories and read the Words to Dream On section, Sleepy Time Prayer and the Bedtime Blessing sections to her.  I think she can grow and use this devotional for many more years.  She'll enjoy the stories and the take home messages even more as she gets older.
Funny story: When we get to Adam and Eve she always calls Eve "mama".  Yes, we both do have brown hair, but let's hope I'm not going to be responsible for my husband's downfall - haha!

Words to Dream On by Diane Stortz
This book is a fantastic devotional for little children.  The illustrations are gorgeous and the layout of the book is perfect for daily quiet times with your little one.  There are words to dream on for each story, sleepy time prayers and a bedtime blessing phrase for you to share with your child.  The stories are very easy to understand and go into just enough detail.  The pictures really enhance the Bible stories and the devotions cover Genesis to Revelation.  I'm enjoying this book with my toddler and know that she will grow to love it even more as she gets bigger.  The hardback edition is very nice and durable.  I'd highly recommend this book to any parent.
*I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review of it.

  1. Well it looks like Miss Olive really loves her devotional. Those pictures are too cute! We have a little Bible stories book that has stories and prayers. I don't know the exact name of it but my Mom enjoys reading it to her grandsons.
