Chalk Paint is all the rage right now.
Ever heard of it??
I love the look of it and the idea of a paint that doesn't require you to sand down the furniture ahead of times sounds ah-mazing.

I
have visions of painted furniture dancing through my head. (I'm sure
that makes my dad cringe a bit since he spent years stripping layers and
layers of paint from antique furniture) I'd love to paint my coffee
table, bar cart and maybe another piece or two of furniture so I need
your help.
I've been researching recipes, tips and it seems like there are millions of each. Do I use baking soda? plaster of paris? I'd love to know the best paints, the how tos, favorite
paint brands and any tips you have to offer this chalk painting novice. I've also been hearing a lot of buzz about Annie Sloan chalk paints - do you know anything about them??
Y'all I would love to hear your tips, tricks, recipes or favorite brands so that my chalk painting projects turn out GREAT!! Thank you, thank you!!
Our neighbor swears by plaster of paris. Her stuff looks great! I plan to do this once we get closer to moving back into our house.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of chalk paint, but my fav is rustoleum universal spray paint. It goes on anything, even metal. So I just spray the furniture and leave it at that. We even spray painted our door knobs:
