Perfect Caramel Apple Crisp

My husband is obsessed with apple crisp.  I like it but don't share his affinity for it.  Each Fall I try out new recipes in a quest to find the p.e.r.f.e.c.t. version.  I usually eat a serving or two and he finishes off the rest.  It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.  Kevin loved this one and it was so simple.  I will definitely be making it again and again this season.

Ingredients:
3/4 c brown sugar
1 c quick cooking oats
(3/4 c for mixture and 1/4 to spread on top before baking)
3/4 c flour
1 t cinnamon
1/2 c butter
pinch of salt
4 of your favorite large apples
1 jar of caramel ice cream sauce

Combine dry ingredients plus butter.
Chop apples - I leave the peeling on because I like the texture in the apple crisp and it takes forever to peel the apples.  You can take it or leave it.

Apples chopped, dry ingredients mixed and ready to be combined.
Put all the apples in a greased pan.  You could use anything 9x13" or smaller.
 Dry mixture up close.
Pour the caramel sauce over all the apples.
You may want to taste a bite or two to ensure everything is going smoothly :)

Sprinkle dry mix on top.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 c of oats on top.
Bake at 375 for one hour.
Let cool and then serve warm.
