St Patty's Day Favorites

Happy Friday!  I hope you had a wonderful week.  We had a blast celebrating St Patrick's Day at home and at the kid's schools.  Daylight Savings time wore us out!  We're all ready for a quiet weekend to catch up on some rest.  There were lots of highlights from the week.  #3 is a secret I've been working on behind the scenes for MONTHS.

1. St Patrick's Day Charcuterie

I made this delicious rainbow board for dinner on St Patrick's Day.  My family LOVED it.  They deemed it their #1 favorite meal I make.  It turned out so pretty.  And this board is our favorite - it's on a lazy susan so you can spin it to get to the section of food you want to grab.

2. Wear Green!

All the kids were decked out in green.  Leo wore a clover t-shirt that was Fletcher's and the other kids were happy to wear their clovers to school.  Olive's arrived at school to find her classroom had been toiled papered by a naughty leprechaun.  He left them a candy treat and she thought it was super cool.

Leo's 1st St Patty's Day.  He loved his light up necklace!

3. Launched Jordan Bakery Box!!!

I've been working for months behind the scenes to make Jordan Bakery Box a reality - choosing a name, designing a logo, supplies, details, social media, etc.  It's been a really fun project so far.  I wanted to bake and build charcuterie boxes for local friends for a while now.  I decided St Patrick's Day was the perfect time to get started.  I sold several of these boxes and they got rave reviews.  It was an exciting moment for me!

If you are local to me 47803 or if you're curious to know more about what I'll be offering, head over to Instagram and follow me @jordanbakerybox - Easter boxes will be going up for sale very soon.

4. Edible rainbows

We did a Fruit Loop challenge - build a rainbow out of Fruit Loops.  The only rule is that you must use every color.  Both kids enjoyed making their rainbow and snacking on cereal.

Fletcher wanted you to know his shirt says "Happy St Pat-REX Day!"  He thought it was hilarious.

5. Scavenger Hunt

I printed off a St Patty's Day scavenger hunt for the kids.  They LOVED finding the clues all over the house.  All the clues led to the freezer where they had a yummy ice cream treat waiting for them.  They'd find the clues together and then Olive read them out loud for us.

6. Andes Mint Chip Cookies

Did you see this recipe on my blog this week??  They are the yummiest cookies!  Great for St Patty's Day, but also really great any time of year.  I added a stack of them to my Jordan Bakery Box orders this week :)

7. Walmart Fashion Finds

I picked up the cutest button down shirts for the boys this week at Walmart.  Yep, you read that right.  They're going to be perfect for Spring.  I think they'll wear the matching ones for Easter and you just can't go wrong with chambray.  They are only $7 (baby shirt), $8 (chambray) and $9 (big boys plaid).  What a great deal!!

8. Polka-Dot Clover

My SIL surprised me with this clover tee last weekend.  Isn't it perfect for me!?!  I just love it.

9. Baby Mom Hack

If you're traveling or will be out and about for snack time, load up the puff container with a BABY TRAIL MIX - raisins, Cheerios, puffs, Goldfish and yogurt bites.  Everything your baby wants to snack on in one spot.

10. USA

I've started something new, every tome I see an American flag, I pray for our country.  I see them often so it's a comforting thing that I can do when so much of life feels uncertain or even a little out of control.  Would you join me in praying??

11. Penny & Pearl

They're the sweetest sisters.  We all fight over who gets to snuggle them.  They are so great with the kids and have been the best addition to our family.

12. Second Grade Basketball

Olive is enjoying basketball.  She's not so sure about the "intense games" and maybe wishes she could play with all girls, but overall, she's having a blast doing something new.

Happy weekend.  I hope you have some fun plans with your family or friends.

  2. What a great week! I'm so excited for your new adventure with Jordan Bakery Box (perfect name!) and can't wait to see all your creations. <3 Kids clothes can be crazy expensive and I love your coordinated deals from Walmart! I was in Walmart last week and picked up a couple tops for myself- they have such great prices.

  3. AHHHH!!!! Congrats on your new business! You are so creative and are so meticulous at planning these adorable charcuterie boards - I sure do wish I lived near you so we could indulge in a Jordan Bakery Box. I've been inspired by your awesome boards and do them every now and then for my family - they love them, but my family eats sooooo much, so it's a ton of work for me! Big kids + a husband who loves cheese & meats...well, it gets expensive!
