Tuesday Talk: Tailgating, Football and Food

Football season is right around the corner and my family is SO excited!!  We love watching college football, cheering on Notre Dame and NFL football.  Some years we play in fantasy football leagues and other years we opt out.  We love watching football together and my husband is very pleased with himself for teaching me all the rules/regulations/vocabulary for football.
It's a really fun thing to do together.

We involve the whole family and Olive has a new ND jersey for this season.
She even learned out to signal a touchdown last season.

I don't know if we will be watching any games in person,
but you better believe we'll be watching a lot of games together.

I wanted to do a little round up of our favorite game day recipes for you today.
I've made them all several times and they are the best!!
I've been pinning some new soups, dips and appetizers to try this season
and will be sure to share them if they are good.

Black Bean Nachos

Tell me:
What's your favorite game day food????

  1. I love that she learned the touchdown signal! Too cute! I'm a Penn State fan but I went to Catholic school and I remember everyone there LOVING Notre Dame! So fun, hope you guys have a good season!

  2. It is so fun getting your kids to love your team! Olive is just too cute - and I love how she already knows the touchdown signal. Next up - she needs pom poms! ;)

Now I can't wait to take L to Notre Dame for his first time on campus in September. J and B are already excited to go! If you guys end up going up for a game day and we're there too, we'll have to coordinate a meet up! Goooooo Irish!

  7. I love sharing football with my husband as well! Last year we joined a fantasy football league together for the first time, and there was a lot of smack talking going on during the week that we played each other.

  12. I saw ND play LSU last New Years in person at the Music City Bowl game - it was a very fun time, especially since we weren't really cheering for either team so we cheered for both!

  13. These are great!! I can't wait for fall and football and so many appetizers. We're pro fans, so our Sundays are taken, but I really wish the nfl played on Saturday's.
