We are excited about a three day weekend with no big plans. I'm hoping to see some sun, try a new restaurant and do some projects around the house. We'll watch some NFL games and maybe make some cookies. It should be a lovely weekend.
The best parts of my week were:
1. I made a delicious peach cobber and invited my neighbor over for dessert. It was fun to catch up with her and eat off of the polka-dotty plates I got for Christmas.
2. I hit the organizer jackpot at TJ Maxx this week!! They had clearanced out a lot of merchandise so the turquoise/white bins were only $10 each and the black sectioned container was also $10. I got everything in this picture for a little over $50. I'm going to put the shelf & hooks in our entryway and the bird hooks are going in my laundry room to hang my aprons on.
I reorganized all of our toys and LOVE the big bins. I'll do a post sometime next week about how we organize the toys in our house so they don't completely take over.
3. We are getting excited for Valentine's Day and the house is starting to show it. I'm planning to get out our decorations and make a few more this weekend. Shhhh don't tell Olive about her Valentine's Day dress because it's a surprise!!
4. We rearranged some furniture and I'm loving the way our living room is coming together. I can't wait to find some curtains to tie everything together, a round coffee table and maybe a comfy chair. It's definitely a work in progress.
5. We had a follow up appointment at The Burn Center this week and found out that Olive's hand is healing REALLY WELL. Her doctors said she wouldn't need a 2nd surgery and that we would just continue on a little longer with their special bandages. This was a major answer to prayer because we did not want Olive to have to go through another surgery for her burn.
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
