Thinking of My Mamaw

Today my Mamaw, Eleanor Heilman, would have been 101.
My dad was her youngest child.
She was a snazzy dresser with the best accessories.
She was a quilter and was very musical.
She did little sewing project with me.
She always said funny things.
She had lots of friends.
Her candy jar was always full.
She passed away on my 12th birthday.
Happy Birthday Mamaw!

  1. I love that picture of you with them. :) And I remember that Mamaw called to wish you a Happy Birthday that afternoon. I always thought she would live to be 100. :(

  2. Good job Whit! Thanks for remembering "Mother" on her birth day. I was reminiscing about her last night at the Right to Life Banquet. Seemed special that the event was on her birth date. Michael Reagan was the keynote speaker and several of his comments were about family and his parents having passed too, just brought back memories. Anyway, when we see you in June you can teach me the right way to follow and comment on your blog! Love, Dad
