Death Valley National Park

We continued to head west and ended up in
Death Valley National Park.

We knew we didn't want to go in the summer
so we figured spring might be a good time.
After driving for about an hour we finally located the visitor center.
This NP is HUGE!!
Good thing we gassed up before we entered the park
because gas was $5.97 per gallon!!

Advertised as the hottest, driest and lowest NP in the US
Go here to plan a trip of your own!

Kevin did his research and found a fun, short hike for us to go on.
Golden Canyon Trail
 It was toasty for April!
Kevin is always looking for a little adventure...
There were these little narrows to hike up all along the trail.
Let me just tell you it was much easier going up than down.
There was a nice breeze as we were hiking up.
 Hello, Red Cathedral.
 It's getting steeper!
 Are we there yet?
Kevin was feeling brave like a mountain climber so he kept going up.
 Hello up there!
 Good luck getting down!
 We appreciated the shady spots.

Things were pretty desolate in Death Valley.
The mountains & rocks were impressive.

P.S. Do not go here in the summer!
