My husband doesn't travel a ton, but it seems like every Spring he gets busy with conferences to attend. He's got flights and car trips so I make sure to send him off with a little care package.
I want to make sure that
A. He feels love from home
B. He has snacks and doesn't have to depend on airline/airport snacks
C. He knows he's missed
I usually include:
A note for every day that he's going to be gone -
this time I had Olive help me write messages to Kevin
and he said he loved seeing her artwork.
Granola bars
Snickers Bar
A pack of travel Kleenex
Minty gum
mixed nuts or peanut M&Ms
a small pack of his favorite beef jerky or trail mix
Olive and I had fun putting together Kevin's travel pack
despite the fact that she wanted to sample every single item.
Do you have any other fun travel ideas for me?
I just caught up with your many posts over the last week. I wish I had a 10th the free time you do! Good thing you're so motivated to craft, organize, bake, etc........ :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so amazing! I'm sure your hubby looks forward to all that love sent along with him. The most I've ever done is slip little notes in pockets, etc. I like how you took it to another level!
ReplyDeleteI love how you prioritize the things that you value. You are a very busy Mama who plans and organizes perfectly to do what is important for your family. You are an inspiration! It is very thoughtful of you to send a travel care package. Would he be interested in you adding some type of reading material?
ReplyDeleteAny time Paul goes out of town, I make sure he has plenty of cereal bars, fruit snacks and something fun to snack on like gummy worms or skittles. I always hide a note in his luggage for him to find while he's away. Gum is a great idea...I'll add that to the stash next time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! Love the notes for each day. You just have so many sweet ideas for making each day cherished!

This is such a great idea! I usually slip Chauncey one note, but I like the idea of notes for each day.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea! My husband has a few trips coming up and I love the idea of notes each day. So sweet!
