Hospital Baby Ornament

It's been so fun to collect Baby's 1st Christmas ornaments for Olive.  It's her first Christmas so I have bought her some ornaments and some family members have sent her ornaments.  I have a few ornaments that I wanted to make for her this year and her hospital ornament was the first one I got around to doing.  I saved everything from our time in the hospital when Olive was born.  I knew all along that I wanted to make a Christmas ornament for her and I'd use the other items for her baby book.

Supplies:
Baby confetti
ribbon or yarn to hang the ornament with
tag to write birth stats on
marker
 Baby items from the hospital
*the hat she wore, her hospital bracelets and name tags that she wore
Clear ornament ball
*I got a plastic one from Michaels on sale for $1.50.  I was originally going to buy class but it seemed like the plastic would be more durable and stand the test of time better.  Be sure to get an ornament that has a big enough opening to stick your finger down in because you'll need to reposition items once you get them into the ball ornament.
 Start filling your ornament.
I had some baby confetti and buttons that I wanted to include.  I started with just pink since Olive is a girl but it looked kind of blah so I left the blue and pink together.
Write out your baby's birth stats
Keep filling
Shake your items around a bit and reposition them until you like how they are sitting in the ball.  I ended up taking the hat out and folding it up a bit smaller so it would look good in the ball.
 Hang it on your tree.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this ornament turned out!!
We hung it on the tree in Olive's nursery and I can't wait to tell her the story behind the ornament and how she actually wore these tiny little things when she was born.

 I ended up making this ornament late at night;
my helpers fell asleep on the job and got a big slap happy :)
