Dinner Menu Options

I enjoy cooking.

I don't enjoy thinking up a dinner menu every night.
So I spend a few times each month coming up with dinner options for at least a week.
I've written my menu on a dry erase board or listed it out on the fridge before
but haven't loved either method.
This is my latest favorite method.
Write one dinner per post it note.
Then throw the post it note away when we have had the dinner.
It's great because my husband can see the options
and I don't have to think it up each night.

You could easily put this in a pantry or on the inside of a cabinet door.
Mine is most convenient on my fridge.
*Update: I actually didn't love looking at it on my fridge so I moved it to
the inside of a handy kitchen cabinet.

  1. Hi there! I came from Kelly's Korner and just had to say I love this method! What's great is that you don't have to deal with eating a specific dinner that was scheduled for a specific night even when you don't 'feel' like that particular dinner. We keep track on a list, but I like your Post-Its in the cabinet idea much better - it's clean and neat without things crossed out or erased. Thanks for sharing! =)

PS I'm from Nebraska, so love your cornfield picture!

  2. Also here from Kelly's Korner. I have tried the list method of meals, especially around the holidays but this is much more organized and simplified. I'll be following you on Pinterest for sure!

  3. Great idea! Such a simple thing but I'd never have thought of doing my menus this way. Thanks for sharing. Visiting you from Kelly's Korner.
