The Best of 2016

It's good to be back from a long Christmas break!  We had a great time visiting family and then we were all dealing with germs after Christmas.  I think we're all on the mend and hoping to usher in a happy, healthy new year.

2016 was jam packed full of sweet memories, blessings and smiles!  Sure, we had our share of sickness, tough moments and we moved again with a newborn, but overall the good times far outweighed the hard ones.  We had tons of family and friends come to visit us, made new friends and got to settle into life in our newish city.  The best parts of 2016 were...

We welcomed Fletcher into our family on March 29th

I had fun being a toddler chef.

We had a great time at our baby sprinkle for Fletcher.
I made my favorite pretzel favors.

Olive turned 3 and celebrated with a purple princess party.

Olive got potty trained.  I feel like this was a big accomplishment for both of us :)

We bought our new house in March, did tons of work on in for 4 months
and then moved into it in July.  We have had so much fun deal hunting for home decor and making our house feel like HOME.

I made a TON of salads this year.  They were all super colorful and delicious.  I'm planning to do the same in the new year so stay tuned for some new salad recipes.

I did a good job of taking Fletcher's monthly pictures.  I can't believe how much he's changed and how big he's getting.  Just three more months before he turns ONE.

We went on our annual beach trip and had a blast.  We drove down to Naples and the kids did great on the 18 hr trip each way.  I feel like we're getting into a great routine for road trips even if they are a little crazy at times.

Oliver & Topher don't get tons of air time anymore, but we still love them.  Oliver got really sick this year so we are thrilled to end the year with two happy, healthy cats.

Kevin and I both turned 35 this year.

We hosted a back to school fiesta for Kevin's students.

I shared monthly recipe round ups with my best recipes each month.  I really enjoy cooking and sharing delicious recipes with you so look for my recipe round up posts to continue in 2017

We had our first sibling matching Halloween costumes:
Ariel and her shark best buddy

We had family pictures taken in November and got to use them on our Christmas cards.

December was full of Christmas fun.  We ate great food, had fun with friends, attended all the holiday gatherings we could and got to see Santa.

Thanks for all the great memories 2016!

What was the best part of the year for your family??
