I'm excited to introduce you to a new monthly link up. I'm teaming up with some sweet ladies to bring you What We're Reading Wednesday on the first Wednesday of every month. We are going to share our favorite books, blog posts, articles and authors each month so be to sure to check out what everyone is enjoying. I am hoping to share favorite bloggers, adult books, children's books, articles and more.
Let's get started with the best things I've read lately.
1. Looking for ways to save money in the kitchen this year??
Look no further... The Queen of the Household has so many ideas for saving you money.
I think buying meat in bulk might be my favorite.

2. Are you and Andes Mint lover??
Meghan has some delicious Andes Mint Cookies that I can't wait to make.
3. Need some ideas for kid lunches?
Andrea at Momfessionals shared her favorite lunch boxes and some delicious kid meals. I'd happily eat any of these for lunch and would love to try out the lunch boxes she recommends.
4. Jen posted this video for the real reason of Christmas and it made me cry.
The kids were so sweet and thoughtful..
5. I've always wanted to have a Favorite Things Party with friends
and April from Smidge of This explains it all perfectly so you can throw a party of your own.
Have you ever gone to one of these??
6. Cinnamon Rolls are my husband's favorite.
I have a go to recipe that he loves, but I'm thinking this recipe from Mix and Match Mama for
Pecan Streusel Cinnamon Rolls would be amazing.
7. My Kid's are LOVING:
Rereading all of our Christmas books. The decorations are all down, but they weren't ready to be done with the basket of Christmas books just yet.
They're also loving The Little Blue Truck series - a must read series for all kids!
We're HUGE fans of Leslie Patricelli - her books are clever and we read them over and over again. They are perfect early reader books because kids can easily retell the story by looking at the pictures. We have the following books and would love to add to our collection:
Yummy Yucky
Yes Yes No No
Quiet Loud
Potty
Boo
8. I just finished reading Liked: Whose approval are you living for? by Kari Kampakis
and I couldn't love it more!!
Liked is written targeting an audience of young women, but I think every woman would benefit from reading this book. I was worried that the ideas might be cheesey or not apply to grown women with a selfie on the cover. However, My fears were eased on the first pages of the book. The stories were applicable, the Bible verses convicting and every chapter spoke to women of all ages. There is so much truth and goodness in this book. I took notes throughout and was inspired to rethink social media connections, real friendships and motives for doing things. I loved that Kampakis wrote a book that would be a perfect to use as a devotional with your daughter, a book club with teens, read with college friends or enjoyed alone. There are so many great ideas that would be so fun to talk through with a group of girl friends. I'm saving this book to read again with my daughter when she gets older. It's a treasure!
*I was gifted this book from BookLookBloggers in exchange for an honest review of it.
What have you been reading lately??
