TGIF

Happy Friday to you!!  I hope you've had a wonderful week.  Mine has been nice and low key.  We enjoyed time at home and are loving this Fall weather.  I happily welcomed in the second trimester of pregnancy this week and am glad to report that I'm feeling really good.

The best parts of my week were:

1. I just discovered the best apples in the world this week - HONEY CRISP APPLES!!  I had never had one before and got to try them during one of Sams sample days.  They were amazing and we are currently on bag #2 of these perfectly crunchy, super flavorful apples.  Have you ever had one??  If not, you need to :)

2.  We are having tons of fun with everything Halloween this month.  I'm anxious to make waffles this weekend.  Don't these look delicious?!?!  Go here to find out how I made them
These glow in the dark skeleton pjs are a huge hit with Olive.

3.  I found the perfect gray booties for $30!  They zip on both sides, have a small heel and are really comfy.  I can't wait to wear these all Fall & Winter.  I'm still on the hunt for the perfect brown pair, but these are a nice addition to my shoe wardrobe.

Heads up for all you Bare Minerals users: I got an amazing deal on Bare Minerals foundation this week!!  Sephora currently is selling this huge container (0.6 oz) of foundation for $42 instead of $63.  This stuff doesn't go on sale often so I was thrilled to get such a great deal.  The offer says for a limited time so hurry and stock up!!

4. I finally found my chalk and updated my chalkboards for Halloween.  I meant to do it during nap time, but ended up with a tiny helper for this project.  All the extra squiggles and ghost footprints are courtesy of Olive.  She was so proud of herself that I couldn't stop her from helping.

5. We had my favorite game day food twice this week
They are a knock off recipe from Old Chicago and they are delicious.
We're tailgating this weekend and the menu has to be made up of portable things.  So we'll be grilling brats and having chips, veggies, potato salad and caramel apples.  Maybe even some hot chocolate if I can figure out a container to keep hot water hot for several hours.

Any fun plans for your weekend?
Hope you have a great one :)  We are going to be watching a lot of football, tailgating for homecoming, getting pumpkins and hoping to see some family this weekend.

  2. Thanks for the BM heads up! I'm almost out of my foundation and will swing by to grab it today! And yes! I accidentally bought the HC apples for work. When I realized it I thought I'd get huge complaints from the kids but they LOVE them!

  9. We have those same skeleton PJs for our Olivia. They are just so cute!

And those waffles are amazing! I made some pumpkin waffles last weekend... they were divine, but they definitely didn't look as cute as those!

  17. Those pepperoni pinwheels look so good, and you got a good deal on those booties! I've been thinking about adding a pair in my wardrobe for this fall. I love the look of them.

  18. We've been crushing bags of honey crisps this fall too- sooo good! We have the gray skeleton glow in the dark pjs for L and my husband just realized they glowed this past weekend (I bought them!) when we were staying at my parents' because there wasn't the glow from the white noise machine in L's room like there is at home. He was in awe, like a little kid. So funny! I bought brown booties exactly like those at Off Broadway shoes a few weeks ago- and my sis got an identical pair from tjmaxx so keep looking- they're out there!!

  20. Those are the perfect grey bootie!! I found the perfect brown ones at macys but they were super narrow and uncomfortable ... bummer. We will have to try those pinwheels - Dan is a huge pizza fan, so I know he'd like them.
