Reimann's Farm Market Fun

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend.  We ended up with some free time on Saturday and headed to visit a local farm.  I'd seen their stuff on Facebook and it was really close to home for us.  We arrived hoping to pick our own flowers and get some stuff to make our own salsa.  We did both and more!!

Welcome to Reimann's Farm Market in Darmstadt, IN!

Karen & her son Luke were very nice.  Luke likes to tell jokes and Karen was really helpful.  She even offered to snapp a family photo for us.  We can't wait to go back to their family farm.  They are open every day sun up to sun down.  Follow them on Facebook for the most current offerings at the farm.

Look at this gorgeous bouquet of Zinnias!  You set your own prices for the bouquets right now - maybe a perk of it being late in the Summer season??  I was thinking $5 and Karen said it was just a $1 bouquet!  I added in some asparagus fern to my bouquet when we got home.  I'd love to go and pick a few more bouquets to drop off to friends or family.

They have a little mini golf course - all their activities are free.

There are beautiful flowers all around that attract a lot of butterflies.

A Hotwheels track and lots of cars to play with.  There is also a rock table with construction vehicles, a big box of animal figures to play with and a huge rock pile to play with.  Leo cried and cried when it was time to leave this area.

We picked up a couple kinds of tomatoes - a new one after we were offered a free sample - sweet peppers and zucchini.  Our whole trip: produce and flowers cost us $14!  We paid in cash and it seemed like they might be a cash only type of place so plan accordingly.

We headed across the street to cut our flowers. They provide the scissors and have containers you can buy for $1.  We just carried our bouquet home.

The kids picked out the flowers and I did the cutting.   Look at those gorgeous colors!

The big kids helped me make chocolate zucchini bread.  They loved grating the zucchini, following the recipe and it tasted great!

We had a blast and can't wait to go back!  Karen told us they have all kinds of new things each season and a golf cart that you can take on a tour of the farm.

Here's my gentle nudge to find a family farm near you to check out!

  1. Wow, what a great find!! We love to go to local farms too! There are several around our area. One of our favorites has strawberry picking in the spring (and the BEST big hanging flower baskets) and our other favorite is great for the summer or fall-- blueberry or apple picking, a mini petting zoo, and a cute farm store.

  2. I wish there were something like that near us! When we lived in California we'd go to UPick farms often. We used to go to a u-pick apple orchard in Draper years ago, but now its houses.
