New House Sneak Peek

I have a few house sneak peek pictures to share with you today.  We're still living with plenty of boxes and rooms that need furniture assembly/new furniture to arrive, but here are some pretty spots in our house so far.

Kitchen: We have white cabinets with silver knobs and pulls.

We have a snack pantry in the kitchen and it was the first thing we bought a baby lock for.  Can you guess why??

We have a dreamy walk in pantry.  Penny approves.  They actually were only interested in it when it was empty.  Now that it's filled with food and kitchen stuff they are bored with it.

Our family room mantle and fire place.  We have gas logs and have plans to install our tv over the fireplace at some point.

Our kitchen :)  Big island and pretty view of the back yard/farm land.  Lots of new things to climb for Leo.  I left the room for a second and came back in to find Leo attempting to do dishes.  Yikes.  He's wild.

Our front door is red.  That wouldn't have been my top color choice, but it looks nice with the color scheme of the house and is growing on me.

Back to the kitchen and Leo climbing.  We got to pick out the gray subway tile backsplash and I'm really happy with it.  It goes nice with the granite counter tops.

We're going with some new colors in the family room - same sectional and new throw pillows.  Topher approves of our new rug.  It's a 9x12 Ruggable Rug.  I'm going to own it for a few weeks before I give you my full review of it.  My initial impression is that it's beautiful and a little tricky to set up.  Stay tuned...

We are doing very minimal decorating for Christmas this year.  We've got some festive spots here and there, but I'm just not up for decking the halls like usual.  Next year :)

Do you have any new house questions for me?  Anything you're interested in seeing?  We're working hard to get the house put together.

  1. Yay! I'm just so happy for you! Thanks for the little sneak peek! Your kitchen looks so bright and airy, and it looks like you have a nice view out the back patio, too. I'm interested to hear what you think about your rug. I considered a Ruggable when I replaced my living room area rug this summer and decided against it based on price - but I'll be interested to hear what you think! Those are the ones that go in the washing machine, right? That is such a nice feature, especially with pets and kids.

  6. How do you like your flooring? We just got similar all over our main level and I'm having trouble adjusting to it! The kids slip a lot and we miss our carpeted areas!
