DIY Candy Wreath

It's always fun to have a seasonal wreath
but an EDIBLE seasonal wreath takes the cake.

Here's what you'll need to make one of your own:
wreath of any shape or size
(I found mine at Dollar Tree)
several bags of individually wrapped candy - at least 5 different kinds
(Be sure to buy ones that have edges that stick out)
curly ribbon
wiry valentine garland
scissors

Directions:
Cut a piece of ribbon about 3 ft long.  Tie it with a knot onto the wreath.  Start wrapping the ribbon over the ends of the candy wrappers holding the candy in place with one hand and the ribbon with the other hand.  Keep wrapping the ribbon and the candy - the tighter the better.  Tie a knot onto the wreath when you get finished with that piece of ribbon.  Repeat until your wreath is full of candy.  The whole project was done in less than an hour.
Here's a picture of one layer of candy and I felt like it needed more.  So I repeated the wrapping process on top of first layer of candy to fill in any holes or gaps.

At the end I added some wiry Valentine garland on top of the candy.

You could hang your wreath by a ribbon or on two nails.
The candy pulls off easily and could be a fun treat at home, in your office, your classroom or your Valentine's Day party.
