Olive @ 6 Months

Dear Olive,
Happy HALF Birthday!!  It's hard to believe that you are already 6 months old.  This first year is truly flying by for us.  You are such a smart, feisty and fun baby girl.  You have no shortage of personality and are developing likes and dislikes already.  We feel so blessed to be your parents.  Love, Mom & Dad

6 Month LIKES:
Your swing
Your exersaucer
Light up/musical toys
Chewing on everything
Your TOES
Sweet potatoes & bananas
Playing with baby spoons and spatulas
Going on walks - you don't make a peep & soak everything in
You love being in the kitchen when I cook and you have a favorite spatula to chew on
Bath time - you learned how to splash
Hanging out on your diaper changing pad
Our cell phones - you try hard to get them
Looking at yourself in the mirror

6 Month DISLIKES:
Strangers
Not being able to see Mom
Being ignored - you want to be talked to when you are awake
Sometimes you fight naps
Eating rice cereal
When mommy and daddy try to eat dinner
When you realize something is out of your reach

6 Month FACTS about you:
You hold onto your bottle when we feed you.
You've started grunting/growling when you don't want to do something.
Your hands and legs are always flopping and flailing around.
You enjoy going on errands and love to look around - Target cart rides always lull you to sleep.
You love silly songs.
You give kisses (AKA open mouth slobbers)
You say da-da-da-da-da all day long
You are grabby - glasses, drinks, faces, noses, dinner plates - you name it!
You are very interested in your cat brothers.  You squeal with excitement when you spot them and they run from you.  Oliver will let you pet him; Topher thinks you are a monster.
You can wiggle yourself all around your crib.
You have a large head - sorry kid, you were doomed because your dad and I both have big melons - so we have to size up your headbands and hats.
You enjoy playing with your paci as much as you do sucking on it.
You can sit on your own but sometimes forget and nose dive.
You've just started reaching for someone to pick you up.

We can't wait to see what the next 6 months have in store for us :)
