Happy Highlights

We had a really fun week filled with all things Summer - county fair, swimming, parks, fun with friends, grilling and some big storms rolling through the Midwest.

I've got some happy highlights to share with you:

1 // Our favorite guy turned 40 and we had a blast celebrating him.

2 // I've been busy making Shark-cuterie boxes for Shark Week over at Jordan Bakery Box!  They turned out so cute.  It'll be a yummy weekend building these boxes! 

3 // Do you love Reese's and/or dark chocolate?!?  You've got to try these!  They're delish.  They're great at room temp and frozen.

4 // Snuggle those babies.  As much a possible.

5 // Picnic at the airport with friends.  We got to see a historic B-29 Doc plane come and go along with a lot of other activity at the airport.

 6 // County Fair - we were thrilled to have our county fair back this year.  We picked a cool afternoon to go and had a good time seeing the animals, monster trucks, petting zoo, fair queens and snow cones.  The kids may take after me in the ride department.  They were pretty cautious and reserved and only wanted to ride a few rides this year.  They really talked up the rides and the ferris wheel until we got to the fair.  Then they decided it wasn't for them.

7 // Climbing & Creek Stomping at our favorite park with friends.

8 // Play-Doh Pies - each kid got 3 mini pie pans and got busy creating pies!  They made berry pies, colorful pies and poison pies.  It was really fun and both kids loved it.  You could easily do this with a muffin pan if you don't have mini pie plates.

9 // Gardening - our tomatoes are so yummy!  We've enjoyed lettuce and tomatoes and are keeping a close eye on everything else.  The kids love checking our garden every morning to see what's ripe and ready to pick.
