My most famous recipe is easily my Chocolate Chip Cookies.
My students always raved about them, my family loves them and I bake them several times a month. They're perfect for any occasion and I always have the ingredients in my pantry to make them. They are easy, you can add a variety of mix ins and they're so good.
Whitney's Chocolate Chip Cookies
(adapted from the Toll House recipe on the bag)
2 1/2 c flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1/2 cup softened margarine
1/2 c shortening
3/4 c granulated sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 t vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
(if I'm doing a mix in I'll do 1.5 cups of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of the mix in)
Bake at 350 for 8-11 minutes or until golden brown on the edges
Cream together sugars, margarine and shortening.
Add in eggs one at a time and vanilla.
Add in dry ingredients. Mix in mixer until combined.
Add in chocolate chips last.
Scoop out dough with a cookie scoop so all cookies are uniform in size.
Grease your cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven.
There you have it!! My most famous, favorite recipe of all time.
Hope you enjoy it!! Let me know if you have any questions.
I add in sprinkles, festive m&ms and other mix ins to personalize them.
What is your most famous recipe???
MMMMmmmmm!!!! These look so good friend. I have no idea what mine is. There are a few that I make often but picking THE one, that is tricky. Thanks for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteThose look so good! Definitely adding it to my "to-bake" list! :)
ReplyDeleteMine would be a spicy chicken dip I make. My husband begs for it and while it's not the ideal weekly recipe, I do give in every couple of weeks. It's perfect for game day.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to have your famous cookie recipe! Paul loves chocolate chip cookies, so I'll definitely try this soon. Do you mix the dry ingredients before you add them to the wet ingredients?

ReplyDeleteM&M's are so good in cookies. I made a chocolate chip cookie last week that was a bit of a flop, so I'll have to try yours next time! My "famous" recipe is my Oreo no bake pie. It is super simple, and everyone loves it!
ReplyDeleteYum! I love cookies with M&Ms in them - the sprinkles seem like a super fun touch, too.
ReplyDeleteYUM!! I love chocolate chip cookies!!! And the dough too ;) I hardly ever make them though because I have NO self control and usually eat WAY too many of them! Ha!
