First Vacation to Naples, FL

We head to the beach every summer with my in-laws and always look forward to our trip.  We've gone to Hilton Head, Destin, Gulf Shores and now Naples, FL.  They have a home there so it was fun to see their new place.  It was gorgeous and really quiet.  Summer is the off season in Naples and their prime time for visitors is Thanksgiving-Mother's Day.  We lucked out with great weather (not too hot and just a little rain) and avoided all crowds.  Olive was the only kid around most of the time.

We ate several meals at the pool side grill.
Their food was delicious and it was so convenient.
Olive loved playing in the landscaping and making friends with the staff.

Olive boycotted the highchair and opted to lounge in the comfy chairs.

The pool was SO nice.
We swam almost every day.
They had a pool for everyone, adults only and a kids pool.
Olive preferred the kiddie pool.

Off season = having the place all to ourselves.
No complaints from us.
We packed pool toys - diving rings, sticks, watering cans, squirt toys, balls, etc.
They worked out perfectly to keep Olive entertained.
Until she discovered the shower and wanted to play with it all day.

We had a great visit to Naples.
Can't wait to go back.
Check back in for more about the nearby beaches in the next few days.

  1. Where did you stay in Naples? We have family in Bonita Springs a few miles away and I secretly love going off season. We're headed back at the end of summer before it picks up again. It's our home away from home!
