DIY Gallery Wall

I knew I wanted Olive's nursery to have a gallery wall from the start.  I began collecting items for it shortly after we found out we were having a girl.  I spent a lot of time collecting and gathering before I starting hanging things.

I found picture frames, new and vintage items, toys, a special dress, crocheted baby booties from a great grandma, pictures and more.  I used the bunting from my baby shower my sister threw, gifts from baby showers and items I had around the house to pull it all together.  I figured out the arrangement on the floor and then started hanging a piece at a time on the wall.  I did the bunting first and then worked around that.
 I posted Olive's 3 month pictures
 Some newborn pictures
A vintage dress that was a gift from a friend and far too cute to go in a drawer
& booties crocheted by her great grandma
vintage poem
a yellow phone & pink car that my mom saved from when I was a baby
an O from Hobby Lobby
Little things print from Ross
Melissa & Doug wooden toy
Pom poms from another baby shower in a jar
A vintage cat planter that I bought when I was about 12.  I've always loved cats and this was one of my favorite finds from all the antique shopping I did as a kid.  Who knew my taste would be very similar 20 years later and it would perfectly match Olive's nursery?!?!
The dresser is actually from my nursery when I was a baby.
My dad finished it and I used it all growing up so it's a fun sentimental piece of furniture to have in Olive's nursery.

  1. So cute! It's perfect for a little girl's room! I love gallery walls. I'm pretty sure I'll have one in every room by the time I'm done decorating!

  2. Love this. I love the dress, it reminded me of Annie's dress and I was assuming you loved that musical :) That is awesome that you have the same dresser you used in there.

  3. I LOVE how her room turned out! So bright and cheerful! Silly me thought the "O" in the wall gallery was an empty frame :-/ Guess I have too many empty frames sitting around my house! Whoops. Everything turned out great though! Good job!
