Not Another Boring Candle

I started hunting for a cute #1 candle for Olive's birthday cakes and they were nowhere to be found.  They were circus looking or character themed but nothing that would go with my pink/gold theme.  I improvised, made a quick stop at my neighborhood Dollar Tree and got to work on my DIY candle project.

 Supplies:
gold sharpie (from Target)
#1 white candle
glitter glue
pink and gold glitter
pink and gold confetti from a party store

 1. Start by outlining your number with the glitter glue and then fill in generously with glue.
2. Top with gold and pink glitter.

 3. Add in confetti by hand placing each one.
 4. Add more glitter on top to finish it off.

Let dry for AT LEAST one full day but two would probably be best.
It takes a long time for the glitter glue to fully dry.
You can also do the back side once the front is done.
I opted to do only the front side.

No more boring candles for me!
This easy project is very doable and I'll definitely be personalizing my candles in the future.
I LOVED how the candle turned out!!
I made a 4 inch funfetti cake with homemade buttercream and it was perfect.
We opted to not light the candle because I was afraid that Olive would burn herself.
We sang and let her dig into the cake!!
