Happy Friday!

Happy Friday to you!  Hope you had a great week.  We did.  Olive had a great week at school, we did some fun things with friends, got to see family and got some stuff done around the house.  I'm feeling better after having as sinus infection and we have fun plans for the weekend.  Couldn't ask for a better week if you ask me :)

The best parts of our week:
1. Mornings Together
We are really enjoying our mornings together while Olive is at school.  It's been fun to get to know Fletcher a little better with all this alone time.  We did a little shopping this week and had great luck!  TJ Maxx was stocked with great things and it was nice to pick up some new things for Fall.  This pretty, floral top has bell sleeves and you can bet I'll be wearing it a ton this Fall.

2. Game Day
We had a great time cheering for Notre Dame last week.  I made some game day cookies, my FIL came in town to watch the game with us and the kids had so much fun cheering for the Irish.  Looking forward to making some soup and watching the game on Saturday.

3. School
Olive is loving PreK and having the best time.  She's learning a lot, making friends and I couldn't be happier with how things are going.  She's bringing home cute art projects, too.  I just love decorating our house with her art.  Police week:

4. Fall Feels
I'm getting excited for all things Fall.  We had fall donuts, my mums are looking great and I'm anxious to do some Fall baking.  I haven't decorated for Fall yet, but that's on my radar.

5. Fun Around Town
Kevin surprised Olive with tickets for a juggling act one night this week.  They went to Jimmy Johns for dinner and had the best time out just the two of them.  Olive was on cloud 9 when she got home!

6. Park Day.
We met some friends at the park this week.  We had a great time.  Fletcher is getting big enough that he an do the majority of things on the playground and isn't quite so wild to just walk off the edge of things.  The weather was perfectly cloudy and we had a great time.

7. Beyond The Castle

I just finished a really fun read called Beyond The Castle: A Guide to Discovering Your Happily Ever After by Jody Jean Dreyer a 30 Year Disney Veteran.  I have been to Disney World and Disneyland.  Both were magical so I was excited to read some behind the scenes stories from Disney.  I loved Dreyer's Midwest roots and her stories of working her way up in the ranks at Disney.  She had great stories, tales of romance, princess drama, rules and all the collaboration that is required to make things at Disney run smoothly.  I loved reading about Walt Disney's vision for his parks and his must have elements in every area.  There are tons of great life lessons throughout the book and anyone would enjoy this book.  It's a lighthearted read that inspires you to live your best life.  Dreyer addresses everything from hospitality to friendship building skills to management tips.  There really is something for everyone here.  I dare you to read the book and not be eager to visit the parks.  The Disney charm is evident in the pages of this book.
*I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review of it.

8. Family in Town
My parents, brother and niece came to visit on Sunday.  The were delivering a load of things we'd been storing at their house.  It was great to see them.  We got a ton done and my Dad and brother built us a fire pit.  They found tons of rocks around our yard and we are excited to put it to use this Fall!

Earlier this week on Polka-Dotty Place:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
