Movie Night Favorites // Candy-Corn

We started doing family movie nights earlier this year thanks to the kids getting a little older and being home more than usual.  We have really enjoyed seeing new movies together.  We've tried out a variety of things with movie night and definitely have favorites now.  Sometimes we all sit and watch the whole movie together, but usually we watch half a movie at a time.  Throw in some delicious movie treats, pjs and we're set.

For reference, our kids are 7, 4 and 6 months.  The older two usually like similar movies and the baby is just happy to be along for the ride.

Favorite FOODS:

We love popcorn!  The yellower the better says the kids.  Aldi makes our favorite microwave popcorn.  It's super cheap and super delicious.  Sometimes we'll order pizza and start a movie at dinner time together.

We recently have upped our popcorn game to make CANDY-CORN!

It's microwave popcorn topped with some of our favorite candy.  I was inspired by Andrea from Momfessionals with this fun food.  The kids LOVED making their own bowls with their favorite candies.  I added boxes of movie candy to my grocery pick up order and the kids were so excited to see our candy-corn station for movie night.

  1. Sorry for the delete! When I read back my comment it didn’t make any sense! Your movie night looks so fun, and I haven’t seen a lot of those movies so will add them to my list. We started movie night when our kids were about the same age as your kids, and it is still going strong :) Long ago Havalah made us a chart for whose turn it was to pick the movie. For example I always choose the movie on the first Saturday of the month. Such a fun family tradition!
