The Best

We had a busy week so things flew by for us and we're looking forward to the weekend.  No big plans so we are hoping to rest, relax and take it easy.

The best parts of my week were...

1. I made these dark chocolate bites for a treat this week and they were so easy and really tasty.  I think I'm going to make some to give out for Valentine's Day next week.

  2. I had a great week of eating well and eating COLORFUL meals.  This salad was a favorite and really easy to throw together for lunch.  Now I just have to keep my fridge stocked with healthy things :)

3.  I finished decorating our house for Valentine's Day
and am doing a post later this morning with DIY directions
for my favorite Valentine's Day garlands.

4. I'm blazing through Lara Casey's new book Make it Happen.  She's so inspiring and I've loved getting to know her better by reading her story.  It's definitely a book that makes you think about living life on purpose with continuous reminders that God is in control.

5. Olive ran a fever for several days this week and I'm happy to report that she's feeling MUCH better.  She was extra snuggly (no complaints from me) and entertained herself by trying on shoes.  She'd bring me a pair and say SHOE ON, I'd put the shoes on her feet, then she'd stand up and say CUTE!  Little girls are so much fun.

Hope you have a great weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  1. Oh my gosh your daughter is just precious! You might be in trouble if her show obsession keeps up ;) Have a great weekend girl!

  2. I love Valentines day decorations I mean how can you not be in a good mood being surrounded by pink and red with hearts? Thanks for linking up!

  3. Your decor is so much fun! I'm glad Olive is feeling better.

  4. I love your wreath! I have always wanted to buy one but they are EXPENSIVE! And then I was ambitious and thought I'd make one but, yeah, it didn't look like that. Super crafy fail. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

  5. That book sounds great! I'm constantly grappling with trying to make sure I'm living in whatever purpose God has for me and my family!

  6. Those shoes are cute! Olive has good taste! Glad she's feeling better!

  7. Hello! Stopping by through the link up. Your daughter is adorable! And your Valentine's decorations are really cute!

  8. I love that wreath on your mantle! When you posted that picture of your salad on Instagram, my mouth immediately started watering. I think I see banana peppers in there? Yum!

  9. I hope Olive is back to normal now! And you're just amazing with your festive holiday decor! I love it, especially the wreath. Really cute!
