Happy Halloween weekend! I hope you have some fun plans to celebrate. We will be eating lots of yummy Halloween food at home, doing some trick or treating tomorrow and hopefully we'll have some nice weather.
The kids picked out their costumes like always. I love letting them find a costume they LOVE. I also really want them to go together. The big kids were Toy Story characters last year and they're all Halloween characters this year.
Olive knew she wanted to be a witch months ago. We looked at tons of costumes and this one is the only one that made the cut. She loved all of her accessories from head to toe - gloves, glitter, broom, etc. She was cracking herself up during her pictures by riding her broom, making witch noises and being so silly.
Fletcher took longer to settle on his costume. We looked at tons, he changed his mind tons and then he was sold as soon as he saw this fire breathing dragon costume. Fletcher breathed fire on anyone that came near and couldn't have been happier to be in character.
Leo had no choice but to be a pumpkin. It's like a baby rite of passage. Olive was this same pumpkin back in 2013. Fletcher got his turn to be this pumpkin in 2016 and now it was Leo's turn.
Mom hack: Every year we do a costume photo shoot. It makes Halloween much less stressful because I'm not trying to get good pics of the kids in costume when they are eager to trick or treat or as it's getting dark and we get to do a trial run for their costumes. We learned that Fletcher needed layers underneath because the velcro was itchy and Olive wanted to wear pants because her costume was thin. Win win for everyone.
Halloween Kids 2020.
Be sure to check out the bottom of the post for a really fun Halloween Treat board!
Olive // Age 7
Fletcher // Age 4.5
Leo // Age 6 mos
We're also going to be eating plenty of festive food this weekend. I made this Halloween treat board this week and the kids LOVED it. I'm also hoping to put together a Halloween charcuterie board dinner at some point this weekend.
Linking up with Momfessionals today.
Love that mom hack to do a trial run and take pictures before Halloween! I was also thinking of doing a fun charcuterie board. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThey all look TOO cute! Love the costumes Olive and Fletcher picked, and I love your baby pumpkin tradition! Happy Halloween to your cute little crew of Trick or Treaters! :)
ReplyDeleteYou really got some great smiles in these fun pictures. I love that you let the kids pick their own costumes. I remember one year Jack decided to make a robot costume using a cardboard box. It was pretty funny! Have a wonderful weekend! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

ReplyDeleteOh my word! How precious are they? And that Halloween board is pure perfection!
