I'm a fan of Wal-Mart. I know not everyone shares a love of Wal-Mart so bear with me. I don't expect a relaxing, leisurely stroll through Wal-Mart with a Starbucks like you can do at Target. I don't expect to get much help from sales associates and I always go to the store at off times to avoid the chaos that comes with the people of Wal-Mart :)
My bloggy friend Justine shares her weekly Wal-Mart finds and I'm going to join her when I've got something great to share. She got me excited about shopping on walmart.com and she's helped me to realize that great things can be found for a great price at Wal-Mart.
I LOVE the party supplies that Wal-Mart sells.
They are great quality and a great price.
Have you ever seen this brand of sprinkles before - Dallies??
They come out with the cutest holiday themed sprinkles and they are under $2 a pop. They're really great sprinkles and I'd expect to pay much more for them. They also have standard sprinkles to use throughout the year. I stock up when I see cute holiday ones because the Wilton sprinkles are much pricier than these.
I picked up all of my party supplies for Olive's purple princess party at Wal-Mart this year. Most of them were purchased off of walmart.com and since I spent over $50 on misc items I got them shipped free to my house. My only pet peeve of this service was that I ended up getting 6-8 separate boxes instead of shipping all of my items together.
The on-line party shop offers a whole rainbow of colors for every type of party supply. In store they only carry 5-6 colors of napkins, plates, cups so remember to check out their on-line options the next time you can't find what you're looking for in the store.
They offer all kinds of pom pom and garland options in solid colors. I was thrilled to find this Sofia pom pom and hot pink ones for the party.
I am always impressed with the variety of flowers my store gets. It seems to be different every week - mixed bouquets, carnations, roses and seasonal items. I really lucked out the week of Olive's birthday and found lavender tulips, roses and pink carnations. They made the prettiest bouquets. The carnations and tulips were $4.99 a bouquet and the roses were $12 for a dozen. Great prices for pretty flowers.
Have you found anything great at Wal-Mart lately??
