Our week felt kind of long and cold so it seemed to drag on, but we did get a tiny bit of snow to spice things up a bit. I decorated for Valentine's Day to fight off the blah feelings and I love seeing the red and pink decorations around. We squeezed in a play date with friends yesterday and are headed to meet up with some more friends this morning. My word of the year is INVITE so I'm happy to report that I invited friends over and accepted an invitation to play. Yay for making progress on my goals.
I'm ready for the weekend and looking forward to watching the NFL playoffs and hanging out at home. We'll be cheering on Peyton Manning and the Broncos!!
The best parts of our week were:
1. I've been ridiculously hungry lately. Being 26 weeks pregnant = starving 24/7 apparently. While this definitely isn't a highlight of my life right now, I'm excited to share a yummy snack with you. You can hardly call it a recipe because there are 3 ingredients, but it's delicious.
PB Greek Yogurt Dip
1 - 5oz container vanilla greek yogurt
3 T your favorite peanut butter
small handful of mini chocolate chips
Dippers - apple slices & pretzel sticks
Mix the greek yogurt and the peanut butter together until well blended.
Add in the chocolate chips and start dipping!
Makes 3 servings.
Also, I love my Pioneer Woman plates. They're so pretty!
Have you bought any of Pioneer Woman dishes or kitchen items??

2. We got about an inch of snow and Olive was thrilled to bundle to and play in the white stuff. She tasted snow, used her snow shovel and then cried when I told her it was time to come in. She also agreed to all the layers, but refused to wear socks. Oh toddlers...
3. My personalized bar necklace from Centime finally arrived this week! I love how it turned out! Olive & Fletcher on one side and Kevin on the back. The whole family in one spot :)
4. We've been really talking up this whole Big Sister thing and helping Olive to get excited for her new role. We've read books, bought things for baby brother and are hoping she'll be thrilled with little Fletcher when April rolls around. She got a boy baby doll for Christmas and I was trying to show her that the baby sleeps in a crib. She put him on top of the fridge and insisted she belonged in the crib. Let's just call this a work in progress...
5. My parents and in laws came up for a quick day trip and it was great to see them. We had brunch, saw a few houses together and then enjoyed some cookies at our house. My dad ate one bite and said, "Now that's a perfect cookie." He's a tough food critic so I appreciated the compliment.
Be sure and check out my favorite posts from this week if you haven't already read them:
I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

What a busy week! You'll have to show us some houses you're seeing. Are you feeling encouraged by the process? Loved that your dad complimented your cookies - that is the sweetest. TGIF! :-)

ReplyDeleteWow! Y'all have had a busy week. I hope y'all were able to find some promising houses. I bet Olive loved the snow. Such a toddler move not to want to wear socks. Those really do look like some seriously good cookies. I too am so ready for the weekend. This Friday is kicking my booty!
ReplyDeleteI love that necklace! Toddlers are so funny, the things they come out with.
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is gorgeous!! I've been looking at some of the PW kitchen pieces, but haven't bought them yet. Maybe with my tax return. :-) Your cookies look delicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that necklace! I went over to the website and they have coordinate necklaces as well, but MUCH MUCH cheaper than the Coordinates Collection line!
ReplyDeleteOoooh that dip sounds awesome! I'm definitely going to have to give that one a try!
ReplyDeleteAlso love, love your necklace. Might have to send Jim a link to that one ;)
Ohhh yes, when I was pregnant I ate SO much 24/7! But the dip sounds delicious!

Great job getting your "invite" goal in progress! Those cookies do look pretty amazing, not surprised your dad approved. :) I set out a few little Valentines things today - the house needs a little pink and red this time of year! Hope you have a great weekend!

Sounds like you had a good week! That necklace is really cute! I love the concept of it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat dip... I just did a mental kitchen scan and I have everything needed. I am totally making some soon. Love the necklace too. I hope you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat big sister story of Olive is just like Olivia. She loves babies and feeding them, changing them, rocking them, etc. But every now and then she wants to be the baby. She asks to be rocked, and fed, and says that the crib is hers. We'll see what happens when baby sister gets here!
