Unlikely Man Cave

I was so excited to put together a man cave for Kevin in our new house.

He's a HUGE Notre Dame fan.

His 5th grade teacher introduced him to Notre Dame.  Her son was a student there while Kevin was in her class.  He set his goals to go to ND when he was in elementary school and never looked back.  He's been obsessed ever since and taught me to love Notre Dame, too.  We really love cheering for the Irish together.

We've been collecting ND things for years.  We have pictures from football games, collectibles, autographed items and all kinds of fun vintage items.

I knew it would be fun to decorate a space with this stuff.  I just knew he'd love it.

I found the perfect spot... in our half bathroom!

Let me give you a tour of this tiny bathroom.  It just makes us smile every time we go in :)

I still have some pictures I'd like to frame and hang, but it's done for now.

We can't wait for another season of Notre Dame football to kick off this Saturday!!

Hoping for a fun year of football (and more wins than last year!!)

Do you have a man cave at your house?  Who do you cheer for?

  1. Omg! I never thought about this! What a cool idea!! We have a small loft that I did as packers theme for one of Dan's birthdays. But it now has a ton of inventory in it so it's not really his any more, poor guy.

  2. What a fun way to display all of his stuff! I bet he loves it so much. We have a lot of cars stuff. Maybe I should do the same thing at the new house.

  3. That is a cute idea to decorate a bathroom in that way! I love it!

  4. I LOVE this! What a great idea - it's fun, it's really cool and it's so unselfish of you to dedicate a room in your home's "common area" for something Kevin loves. It looks like a bathroom you'd find in a really cool restaurant (if that makes sense, I mean that as a compliment). :) When I was single, I lived in a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhouse for a while and I decorated my half bath with all my NASCAR stuff. I totally forgot about that until just now. It's a great way to give a small space a lot of impact!

  5. As a former ND Band member, I'd love to show you guys my marching band hat that I got to keep at graduation! Great man cave :)

  6. Oh my gosh! This is so clever! And I love that it's all Kevin even if it is a bathroom. I dig the theme too but it's the wrong team... GO BUCKEYES! :)

  7. That is so awesome! I love it cause it's all Irish! What a cool way to decorate and give Kevin a little piece of the house that is his. I am hoping the Irish do better this year! I need to pull out my Irish gear to get ready!

  8. I am just GIGGLING that this is in the bathroom! Awesome!!!! It looks so great, Whitney! Great job pulling it all together. But... Go Buckeyes!! :)

I LOVE hearing from you!! Thanks for taking the time to leave sweet comments; I enjoy reading every one of them.
