Little Sausage Pizzas

Kevin's Nana makes these little sausage pizzas every Christmas and they are delicious.  Last Christmas I ate so many that I didn't feel so great.  They are the perfect little appetizer - not messy, easy to eat and you don't need a fork.

Here's her recipe:
1 1lb pork sausage
1 lb Velveeta cheese
1 loaf party rye bread
2 T Italian Herb seasoning

The recipe makes enough for 40 little pizzas and can easily be cut in half for smaller crowds.

Brown the sausage, drain and add Italian seasoning.
Cut up the cheese into cubes and melt together with the sausage.
Take a knife and spread the mixture on each piece of bread.
Put little pizzas on a cookie sheet and
bake at 400 until the cheese is bubbly (10-15 minutes)

 Ready to be baked.
 Baked!  Let cool and serve.

I made BIG salads to balance out our little pizza meal.

These were the perfect game day appetizer to watch some NCAA basketball.

  3. This looks so good!! We've done this in between sister shubert rolls for breakfast, but I love the idea of it on rye toasts.
