Happy Friday to you!! I hope you have some fun {Easter} plans for your weekend. We're hoping to eat some yummy Easter food, go to church, have an Easter egg hunt or two, dye eggs and eat some candy. The weather is a bit sketchy for Easter so we will have to be flexible and roll with whatever weather comes our way. Happy Southern Spring!!
The best parts of our week were:
1. Olive's Easter basket is ready for Sunday morning. She's going to love digging through it and flip out when she realizes there is a bag of m&ms in it. I went more low key on Easter baskets for Kevin and I - I just bought our favorite candy and put them in cute bags. Easier than doing a whole basket and just as tasty.
2. I found the cutest little bunny eggs at Target this week. I also picked up some Easter eggs for a little hunt at home. It'll be the first year that Olive is big enough to hunt eggs and I can't wait to see what she thinks of the whole thing. I'm going to put her favorites - m&ms and goldfish in a few of the eggs so she's bound to love it :)
3. The weather is getting warmer, Olive's feet are growing so we had to get some new summery footwear. Target's shoes are 20% off this week so we picked up these pink ones and a sparkly purple pair. I got Olive some orange Saltwaters and she loves them. I just love little toes :) I also got myself a new pair of basic flats since they were on sale at Target. Hooray for new shoes :)
4. We have had a great time with these chalkboard eggs from Wal-Mart this week. Olive has loved decorating and redecorating them. Best $2 I've spent in a long time.
5. We have enjoyed watching the NCAA tournament games even though Notre Dame got knocked out earlier than we would have liked. I made these little sausage pizzas for appetizers one night and put my hubby in charge of appetizers the next. He shows up with crawfish - the girls were grossed out and he was glad he didn't have to share. Looking forward to watching some more games this weekend - is your team still in the hunt??
What was the best part of your week??

Such a cute Easter basket! I always made Easter treat bags for my sister while she was here in college, but now I just set out jellybeans or other candy for us to munch on during the season. I totally agree about the cute little girls shoes - love Olive's orange sandals! We are definitely ready for some more basketball this weekend - go UK! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your chalkboard eggs. Such a cool idea! And those bunny eggs. And the metallic ones! And her little sandals and those sausage bites. I think I want everything on this!
