I used to frequently write about our cats (Oliver + Topher) BEFORE I had a baby. They were my babies and got a lot more attention. I know life is different for them now, but I'm hoping they're adjusting okay. I know they love one on one attention when Olive goes down for a nap or to bed at night. They turn into purring machines during nap time and late at night.
The cats love our new house. They follow the sun around the house - family room in the mornings and dining room in the afternoons. They love playing on the stairs, sleep in our room at night and love looking at the neighborhood cats from the comfort of our house.
They are warming up to Olive and don't run away quite as fast when she comes near. She squeals with delight when she finds them and I can almost hear them groan/roll their eyes. They let her hug them and then give her meow warning to back off. It usually just makes her giggle and she continues to hug/smash them until they wiggle away from her grasp. I think they'll be good friends one day...
The boys are doing well
and here's some pictures to prove it:
Hope you enjoyed the cat update.

Those pictures of Olive feeding the cats are adorable! I am the same way - used to blog all the time about the dog. Now she rarely makes an appearance!
ReplyDeleteBest. Post. Ever.
ReplyDeleteWell I love the ones about Olive too. But those kitties. Topher is cracking me up, eating the garland! (That's Topher, right?)
Love,
Whitney the other crazy cat lady :)
Awww--how long did you have the cats for pre-Olive? We had ours for right at 4 years before we had Kane. They approached him with caution at first, but now they're finally warming up. And by warming up, I mean they're at about the same stage as your crew:) Kane was rubbing his face in Giz's fur tonight and it was the cutest things.
