I'm currently read a REAL book called Love Does by Bob Goff and it's excellent.
I just read The First Christmas Ever picture book by Dennis Jones.
*I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
It's a cute Christmas story geared for elementary aged children. There are many detailed illustrations to help tell the story and it's written in a comic book style with pictures placed everywhere. The emotions of the story are definitely captured in the faces of the characters. The story is accurate and kids would definitely enjoy this story format. It's easy to read and would be engaging for young readers. I can see the draw to buy more Biblical books in this serious if your child enjoyed this book.

Thanks for the great reads! I think I may be able to get you some acorns, we recently moved to Oregon - plenty here, just have to find them. I might even have a tree in the backyard. I'll look today! Still in my PJs now!
ReplyDeleteJust a follow up - I'm finding lots of the tops/hats but no acorn type things. I assume they are getting eaten? I'll keep my eyes open!
DeleteThese have been great reads! Olivia is great at spotting acorns, but you'd have to pry them out of her mouth first. The one about holding your baby, I did a post called 'you're gonna miss this' when pregnant and put a print up in her nursery, knowing I would be frustrated by her not sleeping and looking at it would make me realize that I will miss her being little. I try to cling to every moment, because there aren't near enough of them and I know I will want my baby back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing my post! :)
