I'm excited to wrap up this week and head into the weekend. My birthday is on Sunday so I'm excited to get to do some fun things to celebrate - shopping, Oreo cheesecake, out to dinner and relaxing with my family should make for a great celebration. The forecast is cold and rainy so I am looking forward to wearing my blanket scarf and LOTS of layers. Hooray for the cold!! I doubt other Mississippians are quite as enthusiastic about the change in weather - haha.
The best parts of our week were...
1. Making this Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread-
SO easy and SO delicious.
2. Fall has FINALLY showed up in Mississippi just in time for my birthday. Pretty great gift if you ask me. Olive loves the leaves and could spend hours picking them up one at a time. She thinks it's funny to pretend to eat them. Don't worry; I don't let her eat them :)
3. It seems like every store is having amazing on-line sales right now - I got a cute black dress from Old Navy and found some adorable things on SALE at Target!
My favorite is this winter coat for Olive:
It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping it's as lovely in person as it is on-line.
I also wish it came in my size :)
4. We made our Thankful Tree and it's been a lot of fun to write out all of the things we are thankful for leading up to Thanksgiving. It's also a great centerpiece to our table.
5. We finally took the plunge and bought a video baby monitor. I LOVE it!! It's so affordable and has been perfect for us. I'll have to do a full review on it soon.
A notable event that is definitely not a highlight...
Olive hasn't been feeling well for about 2 weeks. We headed to see her pediatrician yesterday and she has double ear infections :( Poor thing is on antibiotics and ear drops so I'm hoping she bounces back quickly. We are lucky to have never dealt with ear infections before now (17 months). We've been spending a lot of time at home in our pjs. Everyone in my family now has gotten their flu shot and I'm hoping we can keep the sickies away for a while :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
