PIES

I was in charge of bringing pies for Thanksgiving.

I went with two traditional favorites.

PUMPKIN & PECAN
I used my MIL's pumpkin and my mom's pecan pie recipes.

Thanksgiving with Friends

If we are in Utah for Thanksgiving (or any other holiday :), 

we celebrate with our best friends.

 We are very thankful for them.

We love their girls and always enjoy hanging out with them.

Erin cooked an A-mazing turkey, homemade gravy and delicious sides.

Sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, salad, brown bread, cheesy onions & veggies.

We devoured it AND she sent us home with leftovers :)

 We watched football, went for a walk because the weather was so nice, 

ate A LOT of food, 

and wrapped up the evening with this book for the girls before bedtime.

I'm planning to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, bake a few pies 

and EAT some good food with good friends.

We have celebrated our married Thanksgivings in a variety of locations.

'04 = Utah

Each year, I always make a little Thanksgiving for our family.

 I wanted to make some turkey place card holders and found this idea on Pinterest.

I saved 2 bags from my latest sweet potato purchases and got some m&ms.

Apparently you have to buy fall m&ms before Halloween 

because only Christmas and regular ones are available in November.

So I bought regular and removed all the blues.

 I got some fall colored pipe cleaners, Elmer's glue and googley eyes.

 I set the table about 2 hours prior to dinner, 

heard some commotion while I was cooking in the kitchen, 

went to investigate and saw this... guilty meows!

I'm making 2 pies to take to our friend Thanksgiving tonight

so I made peach cobbler with some tasty ice cream for our dessert.

Thanksgiving Feast at School

The 2nd grade mom's put together a Thanksgiving feast every year.

It's always super fun.

The kids rotated through stations:
