Life Lately

Hope you're having a great week!  We've been busy with lots of Summer fun.  I thought I'd share some highlights of the past couple weeks.  What have you been up to??  We have had adventures, appointments, lunch dates, road trips and lots of birthday celebrations.

MEMORIAL DAY
We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  We talked about the meaning behind the holiday and walked this fun flag filled trail near our house.  We traveled to see family, watched the Indy 500 and headed to the pool.

LIFE CHANGING!!
I finally got around to figuring out how to order my groceries online and I am LOVING IT.  I cannot believe how easy, how fast and how wonderful this service is.  It's FREE.  You can order from the grocery app or from your computer.  It gives you a couple hours to edit your order.  You check in online, pull up and the personal shopper heads out with your groceries.  I still like to pick out my own produce and meats, but I've been really happy with every single thing I've ordered in four or five times.

MEALS FOR FRIENDS
I've taken meals to friends several times lately.  I make it easy on myself and double everything I make.  That way I have dinner for my family and another family done at the same time.  This baked rigatoni was SO GOOD.

BACKYARD FUN
We play out in our backyard SO MUCH.  It's really shady and the perfect spot to hang out.  The kids were bug catchers, love to swing, play in the rocks or sand and lots more.

SHOES
I've been wearing shoes during my waking hours and around the house since my freak pinky toe injury last month.  These olive Adidas are my favorite.

GRILLING
Kevin's been grilling all the things!  Makes my dinner prep so much easier.

Birthday Girl
Olive opened gifts from us.  Fletcher was so happy for her.  He sang, watched her open gifts and would tease her and say it was his birthday all day long.
She asked to take a picture with Bun Bun.

We had fun in the tiny pool in the backyard.  Olive was playing and shouted BEST DAY EVER!!

We always do a birthday lunch like this.  Five of everything because she's five.

Kevin surprised us with a little adventure to a fun place in town.  I'd never heard of it and the kids had the best time.  They were exhausted when we left.  I'm not sure who enjoyed it more... Kevin or the kids.

We went out for mexican and she blew out the candles in her brownie cake.

"Oh by the way... I wished for a real life unicorn so keep your eye out for one." Olive

Looking forward to lots more fun stuff coming our way in June.
