Spring: Rainbows, Duplos and Blowers

We've had some crazy weather in the Midwest lately.  Storms one minute and sunshine the next.  We are always looking out for rainbows and get excited to see them.  Kevin went to take out the trash and came running back in yelling for me to get my camera.  I rushed out to see this view!!  A complete rainbow and a hint of a second one.  It was GORGEOUS and it lasted for so long.  It just kept getting brighter and we couldn't believe our eyes.  It was such a fun surprise!!

April Kid's Behind the Blog Questions:

1. What is your favorite thing about Spring?
Flowers and blower things (dandelions).

2. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?
Rain!

3. What does a flower need to grow?
Rain, rain clouds, clouds and sun.

4. Do you like warm or cold weather?
Warm 'cuz it's not windy.  I don't like the wind.  And I don't have to wear a jacket.

5. What did you do over Spring Break?
We flew to the beach in Florida!  I liked the pool better because the ocean knocked me down.

6. What is your favorite thing about Easter?
Picking Easter eggs and eating little chocolate eggs.

Linking up with Beth for the Monthly Kid's Q & A

We went to our monthly Duplo class at Bricks 4 Kidz and there was an April Showers theme.  The kids had a great time and it was the first time that Fletcher really participated.  He wanted to be in the middle of whatever was going on.  It was sweet to watch them play together.  Olive was happy to have him help until he started throwing her Duplos.

Have you spotted any rainbows lately??

  7. We actually get a lot of double rainbows here in CO. In the summer, we have thunderstorms almost every day. The sky turns really dark, so the contrast with the rainbow is really cool.
