Ornament Must Have

I found this idea on Pinterest a few weeks ago

and decided I had to start doing it this year.

When we were at the tree lot, they trimmed 2 slices off the bottom 

of the tree trunk when we purchased our tree.  

I asked if I could keep them and then man 

(who looked at me like I was a little nuts) said sure.

I brought them home, let them dry for a couple of days

and pulled out a Sharpie to write the year on it.

Added a little ribbon and voila! a great keepsake of our

2011 Christmas.

Looking forward to doing this every year.
