It might sound a little dramatic to call something a nail polish miracle, but seriously this stuff is amazing! I was hesitant to jump on board because the Essie Gel Setter is $10 a bottle. After hearing NUMEROUS people rave about it I had to give it a try for myself.
I'm a huge fan of DIY manicures. I don't have time or want to spend the money to go to a nail salon so having a product that will make my regular polish look great for days is amazing. I have tried the gel setter with several different polishes and it works great with all of them. I was also worried it might be hard to remove, but it is not. It comes off easily with nail polish remover.
My go to Fall shades this year are:
Yo Goji by Sinful Colors $3
Coacha Bella by Essie $4 at TJ Maxx
Uh Oh Roll Down the Windows by OPI $10
What's your favorite polish color for Fall??
Here are my nails with two layers of the OPI green polish and a top layer of gel setter.
They look great and lasted so long with this gel top
You can find this in most big box stores in the nail section. It's well worth the $10 and will make your manicures last for days! I have not tried it on pedicures so I will have to give that a try soon. Have you tried this stuff yet??? It's amazing!!
It's time for our monthly Target Haul link up! Join us with your favorite $10 Target purchase from this month. I'm excited to see what everyone found.
I think Essie polish is just a bit better than no-name brands. I haven't used the gel setter but their top coat has proven itself time and time again to me. My mani's last almost a full week which is about the time that I want to change them anyway...and it's a lot more cost effective than getting gel.
ReplyDeleteI might actually paint my nails if it would stay on. I'll have to check this stuff out.
ReplyDeleteI love all your fall polish picks! I've been looking for a good dark navy polish for fall, but I'm also tempted to a try that green shade you chose. I haven't tried the gel setter, but I'm glad to know you had a good experience with it. Thanks for sharing!

This is my favorite top coat. I actually have an Essie color picked out for my $10 next month and I had planned on mentioning this gel coat. It's fabulous, right?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great product! I have an actual gel system at home, but I may have to give this a whirl if it's easy to remove.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this, but haven't tried it yet! I am going to pick it up the next time I am at Target or Ulta. I am obsessed with nail polish, and I usually get my Essie and OPI in the clearance section at Ulta. They almost always have great colors to choose from =)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you gave this a try!! I LOVE this product!
ReplyDeleteyesss I love the gel setter! I'm tough on my hands (as I'm sure you are too with cooking, dishes, bottle washing, diaper changing, etc.) and this helps my polish so much!
ReplyDeleteI tried that a while ago and the bottle got so thick and goopy - I wonder if they changed their recipe? I need to try it, I went nuts on polish at Target yesterday too!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this stuff, but neat. Will check it out at Target next time.

No joke, I swear by that stuff. I got gel at the salon the other day and need to go either get a fill or take it off and I really want to take it off and have them paint my nails with regular polish but they don't use the Essie gel top coat so I'm trying to decide if it's worth it. Maybe I'll bring it with me?! Ha. But really. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I have tried the Sally Hensen gel top coat (in a black bottle) and it works really well too. It's the only thing that can make my manicure last all week.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this fabulous find. I usually don't paint my nails that often since it just chips off. Maybe I need to invest!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this. Do you need a lamp or does it work just like normal polish?
