I used to be intimidated by my crock pot.
I wasn't sure how to use it, didn't have any great recipes
and I was nervous about burning down the house if I left it on all day long to cook.
I'm proud to say that I've mastered the cooking contraption
and wanted to share an easy, delicious recipe with you.
My sister originally share it with me and now we all make it.
Here's what you'll need:
1 packet dry ranch mix - Hidden Valley is my fave
2 packets of brown gravy
1 packet of dry Italian mix
Roast
Carrots
Red potatoes
Yellow onions
water
Put your roast in first.
Surround with as many veggies as you can possibly fit into the pot.
Add enough water to fill up about half of pot.
Sprinkle all dry packets over the top.
Cover and let cook for 8 hours.
Sometimes I assemble all of this and start it before bed.
Then refrigerate it and stick it in the oven to warm it back up in time for dinner.
This is a great option if you are nervous about burning down your place.
The finished product:
Ah-mazing!!
This recipe easily serves 6-8 people
or is enough for 3 dinners for two people.
It reheats really well if you put it in a glass pan,
cover with foil and heat for 2-30 minutes on 350.
This sounds so good! I bet the ranch would be a great addition!! And I will argue to the death that hidden valley is the ONLY brand of ranch to buy!! Lol
