Eat Well Everyday

Did you eat healthy this week?
I tried to but it was hard with all the festive heart treats for Valentine's day.
1. Oatmeal sweetened with Splenda
 2. Fresh produce
Pears, tomatoes, strawberries
 3. Chicken
 *Tips for making your cooking life easier*
 Slice and cook chicken on your stove top
season with your favorite seasoning
I use Lawry's Season Salt
Cook several chicken breasts at one time and then you are ready for the week.
I put these chicken strips on salads for the whole week.
 Shredded chicken
Fill your crock pot with frozen chicken breasts.
Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours.
Refrigerate and let fat harden.
 Shred & refrigerate chicken and it is ready to be used for any tacos, casseroles, etc.
Throw away non chicken remnants.  
4. Jello + fruit for dessert instead of ice cream
 5. Salads
 6. Quesadillas on wheat tortillas
 *Tip: it's best to keep tortilla package OFF of hot burners...
I'm still trying to get this off...
7. Edamame
Bought a big bag of edamame at Sams for $7
It is divided into individual servings
and you just microwave them for 3-4 minutes,
sprinkle with sea salt and eat :)

Yum!
