Polka-Dotty Place Etsy Shop

Welcome to my etsy shop:

I started making earrings almost 2 years ago.
I wear my own jewelry all the time.
I enjoyed making things so much that I wanted to make MORE!
I started giving it away to friends, family& coworkers
and then I started an etsy shop in March of 2012.

I love making trendy & unique jewelry/accessories.
I don't make things in mass quantities
so rest assured that you won't look like a copy cat this season.
I love bright accessories, flowers, owls, buttons, cabachon and flower pins!!

Take a peek at what's in my shop:

to get some GREAT accessories for summer.
Each order is shipped quickly
& arrives in adorable packaging that is perfect for gift giving.
Thank you SO MUCH for supporting my shop!

High Five for Friday

Another great week in the books.
Here were the highlights.

1. I tried several new recipes and my favorite was
Pizza Pinwheels!
Tune back in later this week for the recipe.

2. I switched my closet from Winter to Spring.  It was exciting to see all of the fun patterns, colors and items I'd forgotten about.  Now if I can just have this baby and get back into my "regular" clothes...
3. I have been looking for an excuse to use these fun, Utah cookie cutters
and I finally did this week.  What co-workers wouldn't love Utah themed cookies?!?!
4. My hospital bags are packed and ready to grab at a moment's notice.  Probably a good idea since I'm wrapping up my 38th week of pregnancy.

5.As I've gotten older, I realize that I LOVE BREAKFAST!  I've had some early morning appointments for the past few weeks so my hubby and I have used them as an excuse to try out different breakfast menus around Salt Lake.  Mimi's was a recent favorite.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Leave a comment because I'd love to visit your blog too :)

Sour Cream Muffins

A student gave me this cookbook from THE Magnolia Bakery
and I was excited to give all the recipes a try.
Here's the first one:

Step by Step in pictures:
The batter had the best consistency and was so pretty!

I'm not sure how anyone can cook without cookie scoops.
I use them for e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.
Streusel on the top and bottom.
Baked - be sure not to overbake.
 My cinnamon icing.

The muffins were tasty and best right out of the oven.
My cooking spray didn't prevent the muffins from sticking so I'd do a better job of coating the muffin cups next time or bake the muffins in cupcake liners.
I doubled the streusel topping amount too.
I added the cinnamon icing and more pecans than called for because I thought they needed it.
My assistant helped supervise the entire process.
