I hosted a fun giveaway for one painted hoop all week long and the winner is....
STEPHANIE COX!!!
Congratulations and thanks to all who entered!!
My favorite parts of the week were:
I bought all the supplies to paint this doll house for Olive for Christmas. It was mine when I was younger so I'm excited to give it a makeover for her. I need to get busy!
We made some jingle bell wreaths earlier this week. They were so easy and only needed two things to make them - jingle bells and pipe cleaners! My kids have loved finding new spots for them and jingling them all day long. They're not that loud so it's pretty cute.
We made our own mason jar snow globes last week and my whole family loves them! The kids play with them all day long and I even caught my husband playing with them. They were so easy to make!
I swapped out our normal hand soap for holiday hand soap and it has totally made Olive's life! She's so excited to have scented hand soap and alternates which bathroom to use based on the soap she wants. It's the little things in life...
We went to a Gingerbread Man science class and had a great time. There were gingerbread cookies, playdoh and we made ornaments. They rubbed cinnamon sticks on the sand paper gingerbread man and it smelled so good! Anyone have a good gingerbread cookie recipe?? My daughter loved the cookies and I've never made them before.
I took the kids to a local Christmas Mouse House and we had a nice time. The wait time was kind of crazy, but my kids were so good. I think I'll have to plan a little better next year so we don't have to wait in line for an hour. They were thrilled to get a hand stamp and we all had a nice time doing crafts, making reindeer food, meeting Mrs Mouse and going through the stations. Both kids were excited to meet Mrs Mouse and help raise money for scholarship funds for kids in our community.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! We are looking forward to Kevin's Christmas party, brunch with Santa and his reindeer and hanging out at home.
I'm with Olive, I love the scented holiday soaps! We had some gifted to us from last year, so I brought them out, and they smell good! The gingerbread sandpaper craft is so cute, and easy to do! Not real fond of gingerbread cookies though. Your gingerbread house turned out great. I am itching to make some cookies soon. I found a sugar cookie recipe that looks easy to make. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys have been busy, busy, busy having holiday fun AND you got flurries too. I was SO jealous of the flurries people were getting. It was 15 degrees here that morning and we haven't had a good snow in nearly 3 years. I hope this is the year!
