We thought we'd made the most of our trip out west by squeezing in a trip to Jackson, Wyoming. It's one of our favorite places one Earth and Kevin's parents had never been before. Seemed like the perfect opportunity since it's about a 4 hour drive from Salt Lake.
The big skies in Wyoming never disappoint.
Olive struggled a bit with this road trip. She is very accustomed to road trips and car rides, but they've never been through the mountains while she was working on sprouting FOUR new teeth. She was pretty fussy so we were all thankful when she finally crashed for a nice long nap.
We were about 30 minutes outside of Jackson when I spotted a PORCUPINE walking on the side of the road!! Kevin turned around so we could get a better look and it was amazing!! He was huge and pretty slow moving. He walked for a while and then decided to CLIMB A TREE. I had no idea they did that. Definitely the first porcupine we've ever seen in Wyoming.
We stayed at Angler's Inn just a few blocks off the downtown square and it was perfect. Quiet, quaint and affordable. We enjoyed the vintage Pendleton decor too :)
The weather was PERFECT for our visit so we enjoyed being out and about.
Hopefully the first of many family pictures under the beloved antler arches.
We had so much fun introducing Olive and Kevin's parents to the darling little town of Jackson. I think they're all excited to come back for future visits.
Olive was fascinated by the antler arches in the town square and could have easily spent all day there. I can't really say I blame her because they are really neat.
Cool antler arch! I'm such a sucker for mountains; they're so peaceful. Love the pic of Olive & the wolf I think? So cute!
